How We Make Remodeling Enjoyable

We believe remodeling should be an enjoyable and exciting journey. We have developed a design/build process which helps uncover your needs, vision, style, budget, and timeline. We also believe you should have one single point of contact from start to finish. Here is how we help make remodeling enjoyable:

First Contact:
It starts with a conversation. After discussing your remodeling project ideas, investment amount and timeline in a short phone call, we schedule an in-home consultation if the project is a good fit.

In-Home Consultation:
During the in-home consultation, we review your home design ideas, pictures and/or notes, determine the scope of work and establish a ballpark budget and timeline. We also discuss the design-build agreement which includes a fixed cost to build your project. We’d suggest of one or two design professionals who may be a good fit for your project.

Pre-design Meeting:
At the pre-design meeting, if the agreement is approved and signed, we’ll brig in a design professional and discuss our remodeling ideas for your project, discuss zoning restrictions and determine our design team’s contributions. If you like the ideas presented, you can move forward with the design professional and begin the design stage.

Design Stage:
A time when multiple experts are focusing on your home remodeling project, the design stage includes making product selections, field measurements, coordinating with trade partners and drafting preliminary drawings. During this stage will we present a preliminary budget proposal.
Together, based on the preliminary proposal, we finalize the design and layout of your remodeling project so that it meets your investment needs.

Final Design and Budget Review:
After taking into account all the knowledge gathered in the design stage, we’ll present a complete set of plans including specifications, plan views and elevations in order to submit the final costs to build your project.

Project Planning:
The project manager and lead carpenter perform a pre-construction walk-thru and then:

  • Develop a remodeling project schedule (including your responsibilities as the homeowner)
  • Pull all the required permits
  • Order the necessary materials

Construction Phase
During the construction phase, there will be a series of work performed on your project and appropriate work inspections. You can expect regular site meetings with your project manager. During this time, scheduled payment draws will be made based on project milestones.

Project Completion
During the project completion stage, we:

  • Call for the final inspection
  • Perform a final walk-thru with the project manager
  • Receive your signature on the final presentation approval
  • Have you complete an optional post-construction survey

Enjoy your new home remodel!
